Speed is shown in words per minute (WPM), calculated from what you typed correctly over the time you took. Accuracy is shown as a percentage next to it.
You can browse passages without an account. We ask you to sign in before you start so your speed and history can be saved.
Yes, typing passages are free. You only need a free account to save your results and track progress.
Yes. Hindi passages are available, with an on-screen keyboard guide that shows which key to press so you can learn the layout while you type.
Follow the instruction shown on the test page. If the test maps keys to Hindi itself, keep your system keyboard on plain English (US) so your keystrokes are not converted twice.
Caps Lock changes the characters you type and would give an unfair or incorrect result, so the test asks you to turn it off before you continue.
Requirements differ by exam and post, so check the latest notification. As a general target, consistent accuracy matters as much as raw speed, since mistakes reduce your net score.
